Next Friday night includes you and this spicy italian sausage pizza! The Skillet-Ready Ground Walnut sausage is not only full of flavor, but also so easy to make. It also tastes great in lasagna, bolognese or simply on a sandwich.
Italian Sausage Ingredients
1 package of Skillet-Ready Ground Walnut
1/4 cup olive oil
1 T oregano
1 T paprika
2 t fennel seed
1 t thyme
1/4 t cayenne, add more or less according to your spice preference
Fresh mozzarella cheese, dairy or vegan
Fresh basil to top
Preheat oven to 400 F.
In a large bowl mix all the italian sausage ingredients. Cook over medium-low in a large skillet for about 10 minutes or until crispy.
Roll out pizza dough into size and shape of choice. Top with pizza sauce and cheese.
Sprinkle italian sausage over pizza.
Bake until crust is toasted for about 15 minutes.
Top with fresh basil! Bon appetit!
